B&W Image Insertion

Images help convey a message to your readers. Black and white images can add an element of graphic contrast to your story, or professionalism to your non-fiction text. It gives a visual representation of the text providing a better understanding to the reader. When we use the term images, we refer to photos, tables, charts, diagrams, etc.

If you choose our publishing package, you will automatically receive 10 free inserts into your book manuscript. If you want to insert additional graphics beyond the allotted number of image insertions of your chosen package, follow the guidelines below. 

If you would like to insert black and white graphics in your book, including photos, tables, charts, diagrams, etc., please follow the guidelines below.

 

Submission Guidelines for Inserting Graphics into the Interior of Your Book

• We need all graphics—including photos, tables, charts, diagrams, drawings, foreign fonts, and anything else that is not text or would be considered a graphic saved separate from the manuscript itself and saved in a 300-dpi TIFF (.tif) or JPEG (.jpg) file format.

• We also need a separate back-up TIFF (.tif) file for each of the graphics.

• We will insert up to 10 images in the manuscript for free if you purchase the B&W publishing package.

• The manuscript should identify placeholders for each of the interior graphics. Example: 'PLACE [IMAGE NAME] HERE' and please include captions. 

• All illustrations are produced in black and white or grayscale; we cannot process color inside the manuscript.

• This is for the book manuscript and NOT the book cover. The book cover is under other sections.
